The CHOOSE Act - Alabama

The CHOOSE Act, officially known as the Creating Hope and Opportunity for Our Students' Education Act, was signed into law by Governor Kay Ivey on March 7, 2024. This act introduces Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) to support K-12 students in Alabama by providing funds for school tuition, tutoring, educational therapies, and other qualified educational expenses. The program is open to Alabama residents with an adjusted gross income not exceeding 300% of the federal poverty level, with priority given to students with special needs, dependents of active-duty service members, and students attending priority schools. Eligible students can receive $7,000 per year for private school tuition or $2,000 per year for homeschooling, with a maximum of $4,000 per family.

How to use your funds to subscribe to Elephant Learning?

Thru Classwallet Marketplace:
  1. Log in. Make sure to log in to your Classwallet account.
  2. Start Shopping: Select "Shop" from the hamburger menu or click on "Start Shopping" from the Shop tile.
  3. Look for Elephant Learning: You'll be directed to the landing page showing discounted shipping offers, and best sellers. You can search for Elephant Learning.
  4. Select Items: Choose Elephant Learning and select the items you wish to purchase. You'll be redirected to Elephant Learning's checkout page.
  5. Checkout: After selecting your items, click the blue checkout button. You'll have three steps to complete the payment process:
    • Step 1: Enter the dollar amount from your ClassWallet purse balance.
    • Step 2: If you have insufficient funds, pay the remaining balance using your credit card.
    • Step 3: Select the categories related to your order and confirm your shipping address.
  6. Once confirmed, the payment will go through, and the order will be submitted for processing. If your account requires approval, it will be sent to your administrator for approval.
Thru DirectPay Vendor:
  1. Use our Invoice Request form, we will send you your invoice as soon as possible.
  2. Go to your ClassWallet account and select Pay Vendor.
  3. Search for Elephant Learning in the list of vendors and click Pay.
  4. Proceed to upload the required documents (e.g. invoice).
  5. Choose the purse which will fund the transaction and select your expense category.
  6. Review your transaction and submit it to your administrator.
  7. Elephant Learning will receive a notification when the administrator has approved the transaction.
